Clear Water Marine’s Service Manager, Koty Porter, was born in Liberty, South Carolina and grew up loving the outdoors - especially fishing. His passion was to always be around the water and knew the best way to do that was to start working on boats. Koty attended Marine Mechanics Institute in Orlando, Florida and after graduation, started as a service technician and later became a shop foreman before joining Clear Water Marine as the Certified Mechanic. Koty has over eight years in the boating service industry and has earned mechanic certificates in Mercury 4-Stroke and 2-Stroke, EFI systems, MerCruisier, Yamaha Systems, and OMC Systems. From simple maintenance to complete engine replacement, the shop at Clear Water Marine can handle the service needs on almost any make and model boat and engine.
